Malcolm Byrne is the Fianna Fáil TD for the Wicklow-Wexford constituency and was appointed earlier this year as the Chair of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Artificial Intelligence. From Gorey, he is a graduate in law and in governance and worked in a variety of roles before entering national politics, including as the first commercial manager with myhome.ie, as Executive Director of Screen Producers Ireland, as Chief Executive of Community Games and as Head of Communications and Public Affairs with the Higher Education Authority.
He will be running the Dublin marathon this weekend, his 39th marathon.
